Tables of 6 participants work together on the use
of the concepts discussed in the morning session.
Option
A: Tables choose a community condition and
associated indicator they wish to work on (e.g. percent of children
reading at grade level or teen pregnancy rate) and go through the
whole thinking process from talk to action, including the story behind
the baseline, partners who have a role to play, and what works to turn
the curve. At then end of this session, the workgroups have the
beginnings of an action plan. (This exercise works best when
indicator baselines have been prepared in advance.)
Option
B: Tables choose to work on the
development of performance measures for a particular program. Each
table goes through the thinking process from identification of
measures to development of a beginning action plan to improve
performance.
